What is New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program – Entrepreneurial Stream?

 

The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) Entrepreneurial Stream is an economic immigration program for experienced entrepreneurs who are ready to establish, operate and actively manage a business while living and settling in New Brunswick permanently.

A healthy business environment and strong economy together with a diverse and skilled labour market makes New Brunswick an ideal location to invest in and operate a business. The applicants must plan to invest in and actively manage an eligible business in New Brunswick. Simultaneously, the applicants shall meet the requirements in order to be nominated by the Province.

Eligibility of NBPNP – Entrepreneurial Stream

To be eligible to apply this stream, you must:

For Applicant Requirements:

  • Complete and submit all required Federal and Provincial PNP forms and supporting documentation.

  • Must have legally obtained personal net worth of at least CAD $600,000 of which CAD $300,000 must be liquid and unencumbered.

  • Must have minimum of 2-year post-secondary education after high school.

  • Must be between 22-55 years of age.

  • Score at least 65 points in the selection factors.

  • Must be the business owner (of at least 33 3%) for at least three out of the last five years, be responsible for supervising at least two employees; or Senior management experience in the last 5 years, personally involved in the day-to-day operations as a primary decision maker responsible for supervising at least two people.

  • Make at least one business trip to New Brunswick and from an eligible connection to New Brunswick and must submit Exploratory Visit Report.

  • Score IELTS (General Training) in the last 2 years: minimum Listening 5.0; Speaking 5.0; Writing 5.0 and Reading 4.

For Business Requirements:

  • Must submit Business concept and Business plan that is of economic benefit to New Brunswick.

  • Active and continuous management in New Brunswick.

  • Must make an eligible investment of at least CAD $250,000 before tax into a new or existing business in New Brunswick.

  • Submitting a signed and dated Business Performance Agreement and the deposit of CAD $100,000 to the Provincial Government. The deposit will be returned (without interest) after minimum of 2 years and maximum 3 years the date arrival in New Brunswick.

  • Create full-time job for minimum 2 Permanent Residents or Canadian Citizens. The two full-time jobs cannot include you, your spouse or common-law partner, your dependent children and/or other family members.

Advantages of NBPNP Entrepreneurial Stream

When participating in the investment program in New Brunswick, you will be able to apply for permanent residency directly from your home country without having to go to Canada and undergo a temporary residency period compared to other investment immigration program in the other provinces.

The applicant’s spouse and their children under 22 years old could also apply for permanent residency. Their children under 22 years old will also benefit from free education from elementary to high school.
